First, make sure that the paper is properly aligned in the paper tray. If the paper guides are not positioned correctly, printing may be seriously compromised.
Half-page prints are a common problem with toner. But it could also be a problem with the drum unit. Restart the printer and computer, then print a page to see if the problem is resolved.
If not, an error message should appear, specifying whether the problem is with the toner or the drum unit. If the printer continues to print half-page prints and there is no error message, try replacing the toner. If you replace the toner cartridge and there is no improvement, try replacing the drum unit.
